Ain't Nobody Fresher Than My Clique...

Earlier this year, shoe enthusiasts, like myself, were blessed with another Nike and Kanye West collaboration. The Nike Air Yeezy 2's!

I made a Nike Air Yeezy 2 out of clay using slab and coil techniques and added a strip of felt for the strap. This was probably the most time consuming project I've done so far. It was also one of the hardest. Regardless of how time I spent working on it, this was one of my favourite projects. I liked how similar to the actual shoe it looks and that I was able to make this on my own.

Hold up. That's a fruit?

For my hollow fruit project I chose to make a dragon fruit because it's a fruit that is foreign to most people. It's also something that no one else would think to make. To make it I made two pinch pots and blended them together. I used individual pieces of clay to add to the look of the fruit.

Coil

This cup was made using the coil technique of stacking and blending coils together.

Halloween Candle holder

For Halloween we made candle holders using the slab technique. For mine I cut out Oogie Boogie and Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas, bat, and ghost shapes.

Pinch Pot

This was our first project of the semester. The technique we used to make it was pinching the clay.
